WHAT IS FACELESS MARKETING?

Faceless marketing refers to creating an online presence and monetizing it without showing your face. Your online presence showcases your brand, products, and content without revealing your physical identity.

Faceless marketing places a strong emphasis on branding through words, visuals, and your unique persona.

We are going to discuss how you can build your own personal faceless brand on Instagram, and create a stream of income with digital products while you're at it!
CREATING ORIGINAL CONTENT (faceless)
Crafting engaging faceless videos for Instagram involves a blend of creativity and skillful use of various tools and techniques. One effective method is utilizing stock footage.

Websites like Shutterstock, Pexels, and Pixabay offer a treasure trove of high-quality videos that you can use as the visual backbone of your content. Whether you're telling a story, sharing information, or creating a themed video, these resources provide a wide array of footage that can match almost any topic you're focusing on.
Voiceovers are another crucial element in faceless videos. They add a personal touch and help convey your message clearly. You can record your own voice, ensuring authenticity and a personal connection with your audience.
Alternatively, if you're not comfortable with using your own voice, there are numerous text-to-speech tools available that can produce clear and natural-sounding voiceovers. The key is to ensure that the tone and pace of the voiceover match the content and mood of the video.
Editing is where everything comes together.
It's the process of transforming your raw materials - stock footage, voiceovers, and maybe even text or graphics - into a cohesive and engaging final product.

Editing software like Capcut, Final Cut Pro, or even TikTok's built-in editor, offers a range of tools to cut, splice, add transitions, and overlay text. The trick is to keep your editing clean and not overly complex; your goal is to enhance the storytelling, not overshadow it

WHY GO FACELESS?

There are many perks to marketing your business faceless:
More Privacy: You don't have to worry about being recognised in public or having your identity exposed.
Less Pressure: Without your face showing, you don't have to worry as much about looking perfect all the time. Your main focus is your content.

Creativity Freedom: You're able to fully create and showcase your skills without feeling the pressure of being judg
Keeps The Professionalism: If you are a professional and don't want to be discovered by co-workers or business partners, this a great way

QUICK STEPS ON HOW IT ALL WORKS

PICK YOUR NICHE + AUDIENCE:
Choose a profitable topic/area you're passionate about (health, wealth, relationships, parenting etc), and a target audience you want to help.
MARKET RESEARCH:
Do your research and identify a common problem that people in your niche face.
DIGITAL PRODUCT CREATION:
Purchase a DFY digital product just like this one) or create one from scratch and customize it. This digital product should be the solution to your target audience's problem.
MARKET YOUR PRODUCTS
This is what you'll spend most of the time doing in your business for just a few hours per day. Create faceless content to showcase your product and attract your ideal audience.
COMMUNITY + BRAND BUILDING
As you market your digital products, you should also focus on building your faceless brand and community through your content. You want to create a community of loyal "fans".
CREATE YOUR FACELESS PERSONA
Your persona encapsulates the vibe you portray through written, static, and video content.
  • Elements that shape your persona:
    • Personality traits and personal interests you share
    • Your personal story, vision and values for your brand
    • Profile picture and images showcasing your brand (no face)
    • Written tone, voice, language, and communication style
Aim for a persona that intrigues people enough to stick around. Share real parts of yourself while maintaining privacy.
Don't forget to share your story. Story-telling is SO powerful because people LOVE to connect with REAL people! That is EXTREMELY important when running a faceless business!
CREATING ORIGINAL CONTENT (FACELESS)
A great tip is to keep up with the latest Instagram trends and incorporate relevant elements into your videos. This could be a trending song, a popular video format, or a viral challenge. Integrating these trends can increase the relatability and shareability of your content.
Always remember the power of simplicity. Faceless videos thrive on clear, concise messaging. With the right footage, a compelling voiceover, and skillful editing, you can create Instagram videos that not only capture attention but also keep viewers coming back for more. The beauty of faceless content is its focus on the content itself, free from the distractions of on-screen personalities, allowing your creativity and message to shine through.
The next step in our guide to mastering faceless videos on Instagram focuses on the strategic use of music, sound effects, and text overlays to enhance the viewer's experience. Elements play a crucial role in making your videos more engaging and memorable, even without a visible presenter.

MUSIC AND SOUND EFFECTS

The right background music or sound effect can dramatically change the mood and impact of your video. On Instagram, music is not just an add-on; it's often a central feature that can make your content go viral.
Choose tracks that resonate with your video's theme and mood. Whether it's upbeat, calming, or dramatic, the music should complement your content, not overpower it.
Instagram's extensive music library is a great resource, offering a wide range of options to fit any type of video. Additionally, sound effects can add a layer of fun or emphasis to specific moments in your video, making it more dynamic

  • Text Overlays:

In faced or faceless videos, text overlays become a powerful tool to communicate your message. They can provide context, add humor, highlight key points, or even guide the viewer through the story.
The key is to use text strategically - it should be easy to read, well-timed, and not overcrowding the screen. Play with different fonts and colors to match the style and tone of your video, but always keep legibility in mind.

Text overlays are especially useful in educational or informative videos, where they can help reinforce the information being shared.

CREATING ORIGINAL CONTENT
Combining Elements for Maximum Impact: The magic happens when you skillfully combine music, sound effects, and text overlays with your visual content. This combination creates a multi-sensory experience that can captivate your audience.
For example: a motivational video might use uplifting music, impactful sound effects at key moments, and inspiring quotes as text overlays. Meanwhile, a comedic sketch could use quirky music, humorous sound effects, and witty text comments to enhance the humor.
Remember, the goal is to create a seamless and immersive experience for your viewers. Each element should complement the others, creating a harmonious and engaging final product. By thoughtfully integrating music, sound effects, and text overlays, you can elevate your faceless or faced reels, making them not just watchable but shareable and memorable.

CREATING ORIGINAL FACED CONTENT
Spoken content & storytelling is some of the best performing content on Instagram. This does require you to show yourself on camera but the pay off is huge! Although you can absolutely build a tight community and audience with a faceless page it does take longer. Showing your face in your content gives more personal relatability for your audience & can grow an audience much quicker than faceless pages.
So if your on the fence with what you wanna do (show your face or go faceless) why not try both and see what suits you better!
Instagram is known for its "storytimes" "rants" and fun quirky spoken videos. Spoken content is a great opportunity to bond with your audience and connect on topics that really matter to you. It gives your audience an opportunity to know you better and share in your values.

Spoken content is a good way to build collaboritive with your audience, spark conversations, and create that sense of community.
  • Here are some examples of spoken content that you could use:

    • Storytime (relate to niche)
    • Educational content (for your niche)
    • Speak on your experience with something in your niche
    • Sharing a transformation
    • Rant on a topic that frustrates you in your niche
    • Giving a step by step to accomplish XYZ in your niche
    • Do a series breaking down a bigger topic
    • Lead with experience driven content. Experience driven content is content where you are sharing your expereicne within your niche and with the product you are selling.

This type of content helps your audience see that you walked the walk. Show how you have been personally impacted by the product you promote, what has it done for you, what was the role it played in your journey.

Leading with experience in your content gives your audience an opportunity to see your unique perspective on the product and how it uniquely impacted you.
Your content should mainly be focused on impact over features when talking about the product you are selling.
Impact: shows how the product changed your life, what struggles or problems it solves, why its good, emotional impact.
Features: what the product has inside, what it covers.
  • You still need both types of content but I would aim for 80% of your content to be impact while the other 20% focused on features.
Most people resonate better with how the product is going to change or better their life, they dont really care that it has XYZ inside, as long as it does that impactful thing.

But their will still be people who need to see the XYZ features before they purchase your products, so be sure to have those included as well!
When growing an audience and building that sense of community it's very beneficial to create content that takes your audience on a journey with you. This helps your audience to see through you what a journey could look like for them. If you are a beginner in your niche, embrace it and show your journey through development.
People love to watch a journey and see progression.

This will help you gain an audience that cares about you and whatever your niche is.
Share your day to day, let your audience in on the highs, lows, the wins, and the losses. This builds authenticity & trust within your audience.
Creating variety in your content is crucial. This keeps your audience from getting bored with the same style of video over and over.
This is also heavily rewarded on instagram. When you use more of the instagram post features the more they recognize your content and push it out.
  • Some different varieties of content are:
    • Spoken content: educational, story telling, rants/ opinions, experience. (These are usually 45 sec to 1 minute +)
    • Carousel / photo posts: these are great for breaking down a large topic or giving step by step to something.
    • Text on screen with a video of you doing something in your day on the background (these are usually shorter 7-15 second video)
    • Green screen instagram feature: Put some text on screen and use the Greenscreen feature to break down the text (maybe a step by step or checklist)
Some examples of growth / trust building content are

  • Sharing your story
  • Impact focused content (what has it changed in your life)
  • Free tips and tricks
  • Beginners step by step guides
  • "What I wish I knew when I first started"
  • "Mistakes I would avoid as a beginner"
  • Sharing your struggles and roadblocks
  • Sharing your failures
  • Sharing your wins
  • Sharing your discoveries
  • Give behind the scenes
It's important to remember that there are two main "types" of content and you need both
  • First is Growth/trust building content

the purpose of this content is to increase your know/like/trust with your audience. This content is also great for gaining more eyes on your account which helps with growth! This content helps to lower the walls of viewers watching your video and help them relate to you more.

  • Second is Selling content:
the purpose of this content is to drive sales. Your goal here is to take your audience who already knows, likes, and trusts you and convert them into paying customers with your paid offer.
With that being said, selling content does not have to feel grimy or weird. Creating organic selling content is how you will generate sales without having to "hard sell". Even when doing "selling content" you should heavily focus on impact of the product over features!

MONETIZE YOUR FACELESS PAGE

Some examples of Organic Selling content are

  • Feature & impact focused content
  • Sharing what the product has inside
  • Sharing what problem your product specifically solves
  • Sales / promos
  • Talking about how your product helped you personally
  • Sharing a testimony from someone else who has used the product and what it did for them.
  • How to use the product (maybe show a step by step of what it would look like)
Now that you have your business foundations set up, it's time to monetize your faceless Instagram page.

There are a few ways to do this, but in this Guide, we will discuss monetising with digital products.
Digital products are the best way to montize your social media account.
They are extremely cost-effective, require zero inventory or shipping, and have great profit margins - making them an extremely profitable way of making money online.
Before creating a digital product though, you need to first make sure that it's even in-demand.

MARKET RESEARCH
The main key to success in digital product creation, is the problem you solve for your audience. You need to create a digital product that offers a solution to their pain points.

But how do you find the problem you solve? There are a few ways you can define the problem your target audience struggles with, and you do this through market research. On the next page you will find how you can conduct your market research
KEYWORD RESEARCH:
Use keyword research tools like Wordstream or Answer The Public to find out what people are searching for in your niche. Look for high search volume keywords (around 20k+) related to problems and challenges your target audience is facing
  • SOCIAL MEDIA:
Looking at comments on Facebook or TikTok posts related to your niche can be a great way to understand your audience's struggles and pain points. By reading through comments, you can gain insights into your audience's experiences, opinions, and frustrations. You can see what kind of questions they are asking, what problems they are facing, and what solutions they are looking for.
SURVEYS AND POLLS:

Reach out to your existing audience with surveys and polls to gather information. Ask questions about their struggles, pain points, and challenges. This will give you insight into their needs, and help you tailor your digital product to their interests.
FORUM DISCUSSION:

Browse forums and online communities related to your niche to see what people are discussing. Look for topics related to pain points and challenges your audience is facing.

Tip: Reddit is a great one to start with!
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:

Chances are that you have lived through the struggles and pain points of your target audience. Use that knowledge to create a digital product that resonates with them. Use your own story and insights to build a connection through your digital product.
НОТ TIP:
Use Chat GPT and the prompts below to generate more ideas:
  • What are the 10 most searched-for questions about (your niche)?
  • Who are 10 online influencers in (your niche)? Please include their website and the area of expertise they cover.
  • What types of digital learning offers do other experts in (your niche) offer? Provide me with 10 specific topics they cover in their digital products.
WORDSTREAM:

Wordstream is an excellent and simple way to find out just how profitable your ideas are. You can start searching some keywords for your digital product ideas!
Here you can learn just how common the problem you're trying to solve is, by seeing how many people are searching for it on search engines every month!

PRICING YOUR DIGITAL PRODUCT

  • First, let us advise you that there's no "one right price". Creators sell digital products, appointments, courses, and all types of media on Beacons for everything from $0 to thousands of dollars,

However, when first starting out, it's a good idea to have a lower ticket product priced between $30-$100

You can always increase this price as your expertise and audience grow, but just to get your feet wet, starting off at this price is a great start!
Compile a list of keywords that you think your target audience in your niche would search and type them into Wordstream. You want to aim for a minimum of 20k searches for each keyword. Make sure you jot these keywords down!
I want you to use your chosen niche and ONE question within that niche that you want to answer. This is the problem you are going to solve with your digital product!
Eventually you can create additional digital products that answer other questions, but let's start with just one.
  • Some examples of digital products that solve a problem for their niche:

    • How to start a photography business guide
    • How to homeschool guide
    • How to budget and financial plan in 2024 guide
    • Mindfulness workshop
    • Nutrition & weight management webinar
    • Fitness tracking worksheets
    • Social media planning worksheet
  • POPULAR PRICING MODELS
Low ticket - $10 to $50. A higher volume of sales is needed but a
    lower barrier to purchase.

Mid ticket - $100 to $500. Balance of profit margin and easier selling than a high ticket

High ticket - $1000+. Maximizes per sale profit but smaller customer base.
Right now, think about the price you'd feel most comfortable selling at, as this will help you hit your income goals!

Also, remember to come from a place of serving your audience first, because that is what is going to gain you a LOYAL customer.

НОТ TIP:
Research suggests that if you want your product to be perceived as a "luxury" good, then your prices should end in an even number (such as 0). If you want your product to be perceived as a discounted item, end prices in an uneven number (such as 7 or 9).
  • Grab a piece of paper and answer the following questions:

    • What is the core value/benefit your product provides customers?
    • How will it help them?
    • What pricing range are competitors selling similar products for?
    • What production costs will you incur to create the product?
Account for your time, tools used, and services needed.
    • What price point aligns with the value you are providing? Consider the transformation you can create
    • What price seems fair and reasonable to your target customer?
    • What price could maximize your profit margins? Consider recurring reyenue models.
    • What introductory price may attract new customers to try your product? Think tiered pricing.

YOUR INCOME GOALS

Now that you've decided on your pricing, let's talk about income goals
Think about the monthly income you'd like to be bringing in at the
12 MONTH MARK in starting your business.
To make it simple with the math breakdown, let's say your goal is $100k/month.
  • Now, take that number and divide it into four quarters like this:

    1st quarter: $10k
    2nd quarter: $20k
    3rd quarter: $30k
    4th quarter: $40k
Do you see how with each quarter, it progressively increases? This is because this is what businesses generally experience! They start bringing in a smaller amount, and with consistency, time & effort - it compounds!
  • Your First Quarter:
Let's look at your first quarter (your first 3 months post-launch).

if the goal is $10k, those first three months might look a little something like this:
    month 1: $2k
    month 2: $3k
    month 3: $5k
    Now, let's look at...
  • Your First Month:
If your goal is to bring in $2k in your first 30 days of launching your digital product at $97, you'd only have to make 20 sales!

Are you now realizing how crazy good the potential with this is now?! Even as a beginner, even as someone starting a new Instagram account?!
And the coolest part? It's PASSIVE income, meaning you could be making $$ in your sleep!
It's sales being made because of a few social media posts per week and one simple funnel you have already set up.

Passive income is life-changing! Now let's get to work on getting everything set up so you can start bringing it in!
НОТ TIP:
Don't forget to account for the passive income you'll make via Beacons referrals.
Every person who signs up for a Beacons Pro account after buying your guide is a 25% lifetime commission for you!

FACELESS MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIES

TikTok
One of the best ways to spark ideas for your Reels is by studying what’s already working on TikTok. TikTok are a great source of inspiration because they often showcase trends, hooks, and formats that perform well — and many of them can be adapted for Instagram to reach an even broader audience.
B-ROLL FOOTAGE
B-Roll footage is basically background content that you use as the video for your Instagram. This has become a very popular method for reels which is GOOD because it means less work for you! It also means you don't have to show your face if you don't want to.
It's easy and less time consuming. Don't underestimate the power of a short, basic clip of something random!

Examples of B-Roll footage include:
  1. Pushing your stroller on a walk
  2. Sitting at your computer working (faceless of course)
  3. Pouring a cup of water, coffee, or your protein shake
  4. A short clip of the sunset
  5. ...basically any random thing going on in your life.
TIP:
Collect 5-7 second clips throughout your day (or designate one day a week to collect several).
Add them to an album in your phone so they're easy to find and pick from when you go to create your reels.
MORE EXAMPLES
  • Footage of your current view when I'm outdoors
  • Footage of you shopping/holding shopping bags
  • Footage of food or drink
  • Footage of your current view while driving/riding
  • Footage of the sky or water view
  • Footage of yourself using an electronic device (phone, laptop, iPad)
  • Footage of clothing/shopping hauls
  • Footage of you unboxing a package
  • Footage of you organizing (Using a tripod to record the video)
  • Footage of your nails or nail appointments
Don't have time to shoot footage, or simply can't be bothered? Don't worry! We have a solution for that on the next page!

AESTHETIC STOCK VIDEOS

B-Roll footage is a great FREE way to get faceless content.
However, not everyone has time for that.
Luckily, there are platforms that have TONS of aesthetic stock videos - ready to download & use!
Here are the ones I recommend:
  • Social Stocks Co
  • Luxe Stocks
  • Content Cove
  • The Folklore
There are FREE alternatives such as Canva and Pexels, however, many faceless creators report that those videos don't tend to perform as well.
